Stuffed Animal Sleepover At Canton Library

July 20, 2022

The Canton Public Library welcomes all well-behaved stuffed animals to a Camping Themed Stuffed Animal Sleepover at the library on Friday, July 22 at 7 PM. Children, with their families, are invited to bring their stuffed animals to the library at 7 PM for stories around the campfire, a craft, and a bedtime snack. At 8PM, the children will leave their animals overnight at the library with responsible adult supervisors. Saturday morning at 10 AM, children and their families can pick up their stuffed animals, get a report on the animals’ behavior during the night (which Library Director Mary Kay Lane hopes is better than last year!).

Remember, the sleepover is for Stuffed Animals only. Children are advised NOT to bring the one stuffed animal they cannot sleep without.

Due to the excessive hijinks and shenanigans perpetrated by the stuffed animals at last year’s sleepover, stuffed animal owners must be prepared to retrieve unruly stuffed animals during the night if things get out of hand.

The library is located at 403 Lewis Street in Canton. It is open Tuesday - Friday 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturdays 10 AM to 2 PM. Check for updates and information on Facebook at Your Canton Library, or call 573-288-5279.

This project is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
