JERRY EUGENE OSBON SR.
Jerry Eugene Osbon Sr., 79, of Willow Care Nursing Home in Hannibal, Mo., formerly of Canton, Mo., died July 10, 2022 in the home.
Jerry was born October 29, 1942 in Kirksville, Mo., a son of William Eugene and Marjorie Lucille Howell Osbon. He married Frances Eugenia Cook on May 16, 1964 in Revere, Mo. She survives.
Jerry was a member of Life Tabernacle Church in Canton. He liked to collect guns and knives and loved to raise his grandchildren teaching them life lessons. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and had worked as a welder for Steel Castings in Keokuk, Ia., for several years.
He is survived by his wife Jeanie Osbon of Canton, his mother Marjorie Lucille Osbon of Kahoka, Mo.; one daughter, Janice Marie (Eric) McCarty of Branson, Mo.; two sons, Jerry Eugene (Rhonda) Osbon Jr. of Chillicothe, Mo., and David Bruce Osbon of Jefferson City, Mo.; 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; two sisters, Marjorie Hagee of Hamilton, IL and LuGean Horter of Kahoka, Mo.; three brothers, Jimmy Ray Osbon of Wayland, Mo., Charlie Osbon of Wayland, Mo., and Buddy Osbon of Kahoka, Mo., and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, one sister Sharon Schevers one brothers Ronnie Osbon and one nephew Adam Osbon.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Music: The Old Rugged Cross, In the Garden and When the roll is called up Yonder by Faye Tarpein. Honorary Pallbearers: Floyd Wrinkle Jr., Kelly Kermoade, Joe Hooper, Tommy Hill, Leland Hill and Kevin Osbon
The family suggests memorials be made to Jeanie Osbon to help with final expenses.
