Richard De Waine Sparrow, 76, of Lewistown Missouri passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Country Aire Retirement Estates at Lewistown.

He was born in Chicago Il. on January 18, 1946 to Henry W. and Margeha Sparrow.

He was united in marriage to Patricia Wood in 1972 at Pittsfield, Illinois.

He enlisted in the Navy in 1966 where he served on the USS Ranger, USS Roosevelt, USS Eisenhower and USS Saratoga. He was employed at Davis Cleaver as a maintenance worker for 2 years and then Titan Wheel until he retired in 2008. Richard enjoyed fishing camping and bowling. He also enjoyed watching Nascar and collecting Nascar memorabilia.

Richard leaves behind his wife Patricia Sparrow of Lewistown MO, daughters Angela Foster of Quincy Il and Sandy (Robert) Willen of Jackosnville, FL sons, Troy (Dawn) Sparrow of Lewistown Mo, Daniel Vandenboom Portland OR and Rickey Vandenboom of Quincy Il and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, a brother George William Sparrow and a son Richard Sparrow Jr.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday, July 8, 2022 from 4 until 7 PM at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Lewistown, Missouri.
