NORMAN 'RED' WILLIAMS

Norman “Red” Williams, 80 of Canton, Missouri died February 7, 2016 at the Lewis County Nursing Home in Canton.

The son of Albert Arthur and Opal Lucille (Jones) Williams was born on February 1, 1936 at Lewistown, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Cherilyn Bettisworth of Ewing, Missouri on November 28, 1959 in the Dover Baptist Church.

“Red” was a member of the Park United Methodist Church in Lewistown growing up. He worked at Moorman Manufacturing in Quincy, Illinois for many years and liked to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his wife, Cherilyn Williams of Canton, Mo.; a son, Kerry Alan Williams of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; three sisters, Marjorie Ann Fuller and husband Oscar of Quincy, Il., Cecelia Williams of Lewistown, Mo. and Colene Mohammad of Columbia, Mo.; a brother, Gary Williams and wife Erma of Etiwanda, California; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Chanda Ann; two brothers, Guy Farley Williams and Keith Williams; and sister, Linda Williams.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 13 from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Canton, Missouri. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Dover Baptist Church in rural LaGrange, Missouri with Rev. Brian Stone officiating.

Burial will be in the Dover Cemetery (Selves Addition).

Memorials may be made to the Dover Cemetery Association.
