LEE W. TAYLOR

Lee W. Taylor, 84, died in his residence at Canton, Mo., on March 16, 2022.
Lee was born July 13, 1937,in Canton, Mo., a son of Lee W. (Tobe) and Ethel Guesman Taylor. He married Lois Kay Hickman in Shelbina, Mo., on December 18, 1965. She passed away January 16, 2019.

He was a member of the Canton Christian Church. Lee was a farmer and enjoyed his livestock. He liked talking shop, sitting on his front deck and visiting with friends and family. He loved watching basketball and football, watching the kids play and pizza parties with the grandkids. He also enjoyed gardening. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda Taylor (Patrick) Winkleman of Kirksville, Mo., and their children, Alexandra of Springfield, Mo., and Zachary Winkleman of Kirksville; son, David (Ellen) Taylor of Palmyra, MO and their children, Lauren and Avery Taylor both of Palmyra and son, Jack (Anita) Taylor of Canton and their children, Hanna, Kadence, Brian and Clayton Taylor all of Canton; sister, Evelyn Mendes of Kansas City and brother, Robert Taylor of Canton and several nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lois, and sister, Jane.

Funeral services were held March 20, 2022. at Davis Funeral Home in Canton, Mo., with Pastor Amanda Gosik officiating. Pallbearers: Zachary Winkleman, Avery Taylor, Jere Taylor, Bill Taylor, David Taylor and Aaron Hinton. Honorary Pallbearers: Hanna Taylor, Kadence Taylor, Brian Taylor, Clayton Taylor, Alexandra Winkleman and Lauren Taylor. Music: Let There be Peace on Earth and Amazing Grace.

Burial was in Forest Grove Cemetery in Canton.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Canton Christian Church.
