BARBARA JARVIS

Barbara June Jarvis, 74 of Columbia, Missouri died February 7, 2022 at her home in Columbia.

The daughter of Leo and Lois Green Grim was born on November 21, 1947 in Quincy, Illinois.

She was united in marriage to Kenneth G. Jarvis on June 4, 1965 at the First Baptist Church in Lewistown, Missouri.

Barb was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church at Columbia, Mo. She was also a member of P.E.O. where she held many offices and D.A.R. where she was Vice Regent and Regent. She worked as a caseworker for the Missouri Department of Corrections.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth G. Jarvis of Columbia, Mo.; two daughters, Stacia Michele (Marc) Martin of Beloit, Kansas and Tara Lynn (Greg) Alderson of Columbia, Mo.; grandchildren, Heather Martin, Becca Alderson, Zach Martin, Cami Alderson; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Gage Foulke; brother, Thomas Grim; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jerry Grim

Funeral services were held February 11, 2022 at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Lewistown, Missouri with Rev. Raymond Massey and Rev. Bob Balwanz officiating. Visitation was held prior to services. Pallbearers: Kail Jarvis, Rick Jarvis, Rex Jarvis, Tom Grim, Greg Alderson and Marc Martin.

Burial was in the Lewistown Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
