TERRE BUFFINGTON

Terre W. Buffington, 72 of Canton, Missouri, died January 12, 2022 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

The son of Thomas H. and Norma Buffington was born on April 12, 1949 in Hannibal, Missouri.

He was united in marriage to Nancy K. Sweet Turnbaugh on December 27, 1992 in Canton, Missouri.

Terre loved riding his motorcycle and being a volunteer fireman with the Canton R-V Fire Department.  He loved spending time with friends and his grandson Levi.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Buffington of Canton, Mo.; his mother, Norma Buffington of Quincy, Il.; step-son, Kiley (Laci) Turnbaugh of Ewing, Mo., sons, Thomas W. Buffington of South Dakota, Terrence R. Buffington of Florida and Travis T. Buffington of Washington; grandchildren, Levi Turnbaugh of Ewing, Mo., Hailee and Heath Turnbaugh of Columbia, Mo., Joshua and Tieken of Florida, Tyler and Samantha of Kittery, Maine; aunts, Dorothy Spratt, Jean Evans and Mary Tieken, all of Quincy, Il.

He was preceded in death by his father, uncles, Cleo Spratt, Edward Evans and Merle Tieken and a step son, Ronald Sweet.

A memorial visitation was held January 18, 2022 from 4 until 7 PM at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Canton, Missouri. 

Honorary Pallbearers are members of Gold Wing Road Riders Association-Chapter N and Canton R-V Fire Department.

Inurnment will be held at the Lewistown Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
