IRMA LOU WIESEMANN

January 19, 2022

Irma Lou Wiesemann, 95, of St. Charles, Missouri, died January 10, 2022, at the home of her daughter, Benita Wiesemann Vaughn, in Venice, Florida.

Irma was born December 24, 1926, in La Grange, Mo., the daughter of Austin and Frieda (Tiemann) Eberhardt. She married Ellton Becker Wiesemann on November 30, 1947, and they were married for 45 years, prior to his death in 1993.
Irma was a graduate of La Grange High School and Gem City Business College in Quincy, Illinois. She was a bank teller at Farmers and Merchants Bank in La Grange for many years and Ellton and Irma maintained a farm outside of La Grange for decades.
Irma was an active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in LaGrange and attended Hope Lutheran Church after she moved to St. Charles to be closer to her daughter, grandkids and great grandkids. Irma loved card games and reading to her great grand kids and attending their events. When Irma moved to St. Charles, she lived at Lake St. Charles Independent Living Community where she was very active and established friendships with staff and other residents.
Irma is survived by her daughter, Benita (Paul Allen) Vaughn of Venice, Florida. Survivors also include two grandchildren: Emily (Neil) Kimes of St. Charles, Mo., and Spencer (Christina) Vaughn of Boston, Massachusetts. In addition, Irma is survived by five great grandchildren: Kendall Morgan Kimes, Leah Blair Kimes and Taylor Brynn Kimes of St. Charles, Mo, and George Becker Vaughn and Grace Audrey Vaughn in Boston, Massachusetts. Irma’s fondest times were when she was interacting with her grandkids and great grandkids. GiGi is a legend with her grandkids and great grandkids as she helped them learn not only how to read and write, but also how to be kind to others. Irma is also survived by many cousins in the Tiemann family.
Irma was preceded in death by her parents, Austin and Frieda (Tiemann) Eberhardt and her husband, Ellton Wiesemann.
Private family services will be held immediately with a Celebration of Life to occur later.
Burial: Riverview Cemetery in La Grange, Mo.
