Happy Birthday to my son Doug Martin who was 63 on Dec. 27. The family will get together at a later date to celebrate.

Doug and Teresa Martin hosted a Christmas Eve day dinner. We had four generations of our family together, along with Teresa’s mother Velva and brother Gawen Lawrence. 

Kevin and Robin Martin celebrated Christmas eve with their daughter Sarah and Dennis and their family. Kevin came up on Sunday and spent the evening with me. 

Sympathy to the family of Dean Gower.  Sarah Smith of Blandinsville, Ill, died Dec. 18. Her husband Dick Smith is my cousin.

I really appreciated the hot delicious dinner delivered to me on Christmas day from the folks who put on the Lewistown Community Christmas dinner. All the people who volunteer and everyone that contributes are very much appreciated.

Dr. Childress is retiring, his patients have received letters letting us know. He was our Doctor for over 35 plus years. He is not leaving the town without medical services, the Lewistown Clinic will remain open and continue to serve the community. We all wish Dr. Childress many blessings and much appreciation for everything he has done for this community. Happy retirement!
