LORETTA FAY POWERS

Mrs. Loretta Fay Powers, 90, of La Grange, Mo., died December 8, 2021 at 2:00 a.m. at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.

She was born January 16, 1931 in Hilton, Mo., a daughter of Williams Jacob and Josephine Mae Constable Stover. She married Leslie L. Powers on May 20, 1950 in New London, Mo. He passed away on July 30, 1993.

She enjoyed collecting Elephants and doing all sorts of crafts. Loretta loved her family, and her kids meant the world to her. She loved life, enjoyed going to bible study and had many friends in the apartment complex where she resided.
Survivors include two sons, Gary (Sandy) Powers and Ronald (Debbie) Powers both of Canton; two daughters, Sheila Kaylor and Susan (Travis Cobb) Curless both of La Grange; many grandchildren and several great grandchildren; one sister, Sandy Redick of Hannibal, MO; two brothers, Henry (Sue) Stover of Moline, Ill., and Larry Stover of Hannibal, Mo., and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three sons Bobby, Les and Kenneth Powers, three sisters, Lorine Shrum, Shirley Powers and Sherry Ryan, three brothers, Billy, Robert and Kenneth Stover.

Funeral services were held December 13, 2021 at the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Jacob Hercamp officiating. Visitation was held December 12, 2021. at the Davis Funeral Home in La Grange. Pallbearers: Tim Kaylor, Lee Mangold, Derek Powers, Travis Cobb, Wayne Powers, Buddy Oberdahlhoff

Burial was in Mark’s Cemetery in La Grange

The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
