Casey Bell Memorial Coon Hunt

The 1st annual Casey Bell memorial coon hunt to benefit Relay For Life of Lewis County was held Saturday, November 20, 2021 in LaBelle, Mo hosted by Doug and Renny Lay.  The coon hunt had been held in previous years, but this is the first year it was held in Casey’s memory.  This year there were 50 hunters with 52 hounds, and 98 racoons harvested. The hunt raised nearly $2000 for the Relay event with the registration fees, raffles, and help from friends and family.  This year’s winners win cash prizes. First place: Bryson Ledbetter, LaBelle, Second place: Drew Smith, Maywood. Third place: Tuff Turpin, LaBelle, and a fourth place cash prize was donated by Travis Peavler in memory of his brother, James Peavler, was won by Kory Norton, Hurdland.  The winners were selected by random draw.
