Vickie Lee “Old V” “Vi” Lair, 70 of Williamstown, Missouri died November 23, 2021 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

The daughter of David Nathan and Edna Marilyn McIntosh Phillips, Sr. was born on May 7, 1951 at Keokuk, Iowa.

She was united in marriage to Jerry Lair on August 10, 2002 at the Williamstown Christian Church in Williamstown, Missouri.

Vickie was an avid New York Yankees fan and got to go watch them play in 2017.  She traveled to Europe in 2001 and 2019.  She liked to play softball, eat at the Catfish Place, collect Coca Cola memorabilia and was connoisseur of Kessler.   She also started Camp Vilo for her grandchildren.  Vickie worked at the Phillips & Sons Sawmill her whole life and loved to watch her grandkids play sports.  Her door was always open for her friends and family.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Lair; children, Stacey (Lynn) Thompson, Chad Zahn, Stefanie (Doug) Collins and Ercil (Sherry) Lair; grandchildren, Ethan Zahn, Keegan Thompson, Madison Zahn-Krekel, Zahn Thompson, Sawyer Thompson, Saylor Collins, Hunter Collins, Lance Zahn, Kevin Lair, Lucien Collins and Brooke Lair; a great grandson, Dallas Krekel; siblings, Marilyn Garrels, Linda (Dan) Shirey, Angela (Rock) Shaller, Yvonne (Larry) Dudgeon, David (Lora) Phillips, Jr., Carmon Lindsey, Pam (Randall) Briscoe, Steve (Stephanie) Phillips and Gretchen Phillips; and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Donna Nelson, Shirley English, Mary Jane Page and Robin Phillips; brothers, Wayne “Jake” Murphy, Sr., Oral “Butch” Murphy and Rocky J. “Brov” Phillips.

A memorial visitation was held November 27, 2021 at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Canton, Missouri.  Inurnment will be in the Durham Cemetery at later date.

Memorials may be made to Mississippi Valley State School in Hannibal, Missouri.
