STEVE HAMLIN

Steve Hamlin, 78 of Lewistown, Missouri died October 19, 2021 surrounded by his wife and children.
The son of Wallace and Omega Overton Hamlin was born October 1, 1943 at his home in Monticello, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Joyce Magruder on August 10, 1975 at the Oak Ridge Baptist Church at Lentner, Missouri.
Steve was a farmer through and through and loved his cattle. You talk cattle, he will talk. Even sitting in his pickup watching the cows eat grass was pure joy. He enjoyed joking, farming and all of nature. His biggest joy was his children, grandkids and family.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Hamlin of Lewistown, Mo.; children, Katy (Jon) Kuschel of Tipton, Mo., Clint (Mary Jane) Hamlin of Monticello, Mo., Chris Hamlin of Lewistown, Mo., Kyle (Burgundy) Hamlin of Lewistown, Mo. and Tina (Luke) Maddox of Texas; his beautiful, handsome and talented grandchildren; two brothers, Ernie (Kay) Hamlin of Lewistown, Mo. and Lindy Hamlin of Ewing, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Nathaniel and sister-in-law, Jacqueline Hamlin.
Funeral services were held October 24, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Lewistown, Missouri with Rev. Ted Middleton officiating. Pallbearers: Brian Douglass, Curt Douglass, Jay Collins, Wes Shoemyer, Tom Stark and Greg Hamlin. Honorary Pallbearers: “It’s a woman thing”, Kim Viers, Janet Philips, Brady Douglass, Laurie Stark, Lynnette Huddleston, Candi Harder, Carley Collins, Tammy Ratliff, Michele Collins, Marti Merrifield, Jill Douglass and Karmon Douglass.
Burial was in the Lewistown Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Lewistown Cemetery Association or the Donor’s Choice to benefit a family member or someone in need.
Arrangements are with Arnold’s Funeral Home in Lewistown.
