THEODORE HENRY BERHORST

Mr. Theodore Henry Berhorst, 73, of Canton, Mo., died January 14, 2016 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.

He was born March 26, 1942 in Elsberry, Mo., a son of John and Regina Warden Berhorst. He married Donna Raleigh on May 8, 1959. She survives.

Ted was of the Catholic faith and a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church. He was a farmer for 70 years and was a member of the FFA. He had a love of family, friends, cats and dogs,and he enjoyed playing cards, watching his westerns, going fishing and playing horseshoes.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Berhorst; a daughter, Virginia Berhorst of Canton; three sons, Robert Berhorst of Quincy, IL, William (Maria) Berhorst and Alan (Nancy) Berhorst both of Canton; two brothers, Fred (Sharon) Berhorst of Quincy, IL and Lee (Naydene) Berhorst of Canton; one sister, Matilda Francis of Albert Lee, MN; grandsons, BJ (Lisa), Jason (Jennifer), Kassidy (Allison), Daniel (Katie), Mathew (Kayla), Jeffrey, Jordan and; granddaughters, Ashley (Steve) VanDyke and Arianna Berhorst; great granddaughters, Piper, Mira, Temperance, Loreli, Olivia and Gabriella Berhorst; great grandsons, Bralyn Berhorst, Royce Boyd, Abel and Tedros Berhorst and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank, Steve and Edward Berhorst and his parents, John and Regina Berhorst.

A Mass of Christian Burial were held January 19, 2016 at the Shrine of St. Patrick in St. Patrick, Mo., with Fr. James Wheeler officiating. Visitation and prayer service was held January 18, 2016 at the Davis Funeral Home in Canton.

Pallbearers: BJ Berhorst, Jason Berhorst, Kassidy Berhorst, Daniel Berhorst, Mathew Berhorst and Jeffrey Berhorst. Honorary Pallbearers: Jordan Berhorst, Fred Berhorst, Lee Berhorst, Charlie Mike Bringer, Darryl Berhorst, John Berhorst, Mark Tuley, Ron Tuley, Steve Berhorst and Alan Wolf. Music: Julie Kirchner, organist.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association
