Janney Featured at Global IMA Student Career Fair

Dr. Dell Ann Janney was a featured speaker at the first-ever Global IMA Student Career Fair on August 27, 2021, which was held virtually. 

The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) invited Janney, Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies at Culver-Stockton College, to speak at its global conference due to her long-time involvement in the IMA and her leadership accomplishments in the field of business education at C-SC. The virtual event included more than 500 participants, made up of students and professionals, and Dr. Janney’s presentation titled “Identifying Your Career Path and Designing Your Resume” focused on the jobs that are in demand, the hard-skills and soft-skills that employers are seeking, and how to design a resume and LinkedIn profile. This fair was exclusively designed for students looking for internships and entry-level positions. Following Janney’s presentation, students were able to attend a roundtable discussion with CFO’s to learn what companies are looking for in new hires. The virtual Career Fair also featured companies looking to recruit students. With over 140,000 members, the IMA, The Association of Accountants and Financial Professionals, provides research, data and best practices. 

In addition to her role as Dean, Janney oversees Career and Internship Services, Instructional Technology and Online and Graduate programs.
