MAXINE UHLMEYER

Mary Maxine Uhlmeyer, 88, of Canton, Missouri, died August 1, 2021, at Blessing Hospital, Quincy, Illinois, after a lengthy hospital stay.
She was born August 15, 1932, the daughter of Carl Withington and Mary Ethel Brennan Logsdon.

She married George F. Uhlmeyer, Jr. on June 30, 1951 at the Shrine of St. Patrick, St. Patrick, Missouri. He passed away January 4, 2015.

Maxine attended and graduated from St. Patrick School, St. Patrick, Missouri. She was a member of the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church and a lifelong member of the Daughters of Isabella.
Maxine’s two greatest loves were faith and family. Her interests included traveling with her husband and daughters, gardening, embroidery and sewing. She loved spending time with family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving include five daughters, Karen Brown (Leo), Pflugerville, Texas; Judy Freeman (Dan), Blue Grass, Iowa; Peggy Maples (Donald), Edmond, Oklahoma; Jeanne Mott (Jim), Morning Sun, Iowa; and Betty Jo Stice (Donald), Taylor Ridge, Illinois. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren Paula Brown, Pflugerville, Texas; Laura Brown, Round Rock, Texas; Audra Hapshie (Abe), Pflugerville, Texas; Danielle Blake (Jeff), Walcott, Iowa; Joshua Freeman (Loreto), Ashburn, Virginia; Jacob Freeman, Blue Grass, Iowa; Megan Ebbert (Daniel), Edmond, Oklahoma; Christopher Maples (Amanda), Edmond, Oklahoma; Nicole Hoben (Bryce), Grandview, Iowa; Mike Mott (Amanda), Wapello, Iowa; Kaitlin Stice, Nashville, Tennessee; Courtney Stice (Dalton Woeber fiancé), Iowa City, Iowa; and Jessica Stice, Taylor Ridge, Illinois. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren with one more expected. Also surviving are in-laws Sam and Mary Jean Wheeler, Williamstown, Missouri; Bob and Mary Uhlmeyer, Canton, Missouri, Martha Lesnick, Osage Beach, Missouri; and Dennis Schutte, St. Louis, Missouri and other relatives.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband; son, Wayne; parents; two sisters, Emma Jean Rempe and Doreen Schutte; and a brother Seldon Logsdon.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held August 7, 2021 at the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church in St. Patrick, MO with Fr. Rob Fields officiating. Visitation and a prayer service led by Deacon Dan Freeman, was held August 6, 2021 at the Davis Funeral Home in Canton, MO. Pallbearers: Joshua Freeman, Jacob Freeman, Mike Mott, Christopher Maples, Jeff Blake, Daniel Ebbert, Abe Hapshie, Bryce Hoben and Dalton Woeber. Music: Julie Kirchner, Organist and Kaitlin and Courtney Stice, vocalists.

Burial was in St. Patrick Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Shrine of St. Patrick or St. Patrick Cemetery for Perpetual Care.
