SAMUEL W. GREEN

Samuel W. Green, age 76, of La Grange, Mo., died January 6, 2016 in the Lewis County Nursing Home at Canton, Mo.

He was born on September 27, 1939 in La Grange to George B. and Mildred Logan Green Sr. He was a graduate of La Grange High School and was in the U.S. Navy. He retired from the City of La Grange.

Sam loved working with Wayne Maples and spending time with his family.

He is survived by nieces and nephews, Herman Frieden, of the State of Washington. Judy Colliver of Monroe City, Mo., Sue Jones of Hallsville, Mo. George Green of La Grange, Sam Green of Brookfield, Mo., Cindy Ennis or Kirksville, Mo., Donnette Carter of Ewing, Mo. Troy Boyer of La Grange, Hermie Boyer of La Grange, Kip Brumbaugh of Quincy, Ill; Brothers in law Bill Kent of Edwardsville, Ill., and Norman Brumbaugh of Quincy, Ill., and also numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was blessed with lots of friends with two special friends, Roy and Deanna Shepherd.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step father Luther Lewis, Siblings, George Green, Jeanette Boyer and Carol Brumbaugh, half-sisters, Tody Crandall, Grace Frieden, Helen Kent and Esther Kramer, brothers in law, Don Boyer, Albert Frieden and Carl Cranddall. nieces, Mika Sue Green Carter and Sandy Frieden Pagan, nephews, Gary Richardson, Junior Frieden, Mark Brumbaugh and Dennis Kent.

Graveside services and burial were held January 9, 2016 at Memorial Cemetery in La Grange with Pastor Kip Brumbaugh officiating.
