JOSEF FELLINGER

Mr. Josef Fellinger, 80, of Canton, MO died June 7, 2021 in the Lewis County Nursing Home at Canton, MO.

He was born on August 8, 1940 in Calma, Yugoslavia a son of John and Katharina Yungert Fellinger. The family came to the United States in 1951. Joe never married.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He worked at Warco in West Quincy and farmed with his dad and brother, Nick for many years. Joe enjoyed fishing with friends and watching his nieces and nephews play ball. He also enjoyed FFA, watching ballgames, making wine, picking blackberries and coon hunting.

Survivors include his brothers, Nickolaus "Nick" (Martha) Fellinger, John (Cheryl) Fellinger and Peter (Lynn) Fellinger and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, and niece, Mary Fellinger Covey.

Funeral services were held June 12, 2021 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Canton, MO with Fr. Rob Fields officiating. Music: Amazing Grace. Pallbearers: Austin Fellinger, Nathan Fellinger, David McCutchan, Mick Fellinger, Stan Bell, Josh Fellinger Honorary Pallbearers: Spencer McCutchan, Drew McCutchan, Cole McCutchan, John McCutchan, Ben Cottrell, Brad Ayers, Justin Fellinger, David Stice, Lane Kennedy and Dean Kennedy.

Burial was in Forest Grove Cemetery in Canton.
