KATHY BOONE

Kathy Janell Boone, 68 of Lewistown, Missouri died February 27, 2021 at her home in Lewistown.
The daughter of Hubert and Gynell Bishoff Hudnut was born on October 23, 1952 at Quincy, Illinois.
She was united in marriage to Jim Boone on August 5, 1989 at Lewistown, Missouri.
Kathy was of the Baptist faith. She graduated from Gem City Beauty College and owned and operated Kathy’s Hair Express and later worked as a secretary for the Highland Elementary School. She loved to dance, listen to Elvis Presley and watch baseball games. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and dressing up, making her own costumes for Halloween.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Boone of Lewistown, Mo.; three children, Lezlie (Kevin) Meyer of LaGrange, Mo., Chad Hayden of Lewistown, Mo. and Kaley (Matt) Bozarth of Lewistown, Mo.; five grandchildren, Brandon Meyer, Hayden Meyer, Gavin Meyer, Rhett Bozarth and Dylan Bozarth; two sisters, Linda (Gary) Barton of LaBelle, Mo. and Denise Davis of Revere, Mo.; two brothers, Steven (Mickie) Hudnut of Ewing, Mo. and Paul (Debbie) Hudnut of Lewistown, Mo.; sister in law, Linda (Les) Green of Ashland, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Stanley Hudnut, sister in law, Kathy Hudnut and brother in law, Mickey Davis.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Lewistown, Missouri with Pastor Jeff Metcalf officiating Pallbearers: J.W. West, Jason Hudnut, Stevie Hudnut, John Brown, Sam Rueter, Levi Hudnut, Dallas Hudnut, Timmy Davis, Dusty Davis, Adam Davis and Morgan Green. Honorary Pallbearers: Brandon Meyer, Hayden Meyer, Gavin Meyer, Rhett Bozarth, Corey Bennett, Larry Post and David Plant. Visitation was held March 2 at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery near Williamstown, Missouri.
Memorials may be made to the Liberty Cemetery, Hospice of Northeast Missouri or Community Loving Care Hospice.
