Lewis County Nursing Home Tax Levy

Lewis County Nursing Home District Board of Directors submitted the following information.

Nursing Home District Board of Directors are asking the citizens of Lewis County to vote on a tax levy increase from .1399 cents to .25 cents per $100 assessed property valuation in the June 2 election.  The current rate of .1399 cents equals approximately $200,000 per year in tax revenue.  The .25 cents increase is approximately $167,000 more per year.

The last several months have been historic and difficult for everyone, but especially for our residents, staff, and families.  We continue to do everything in our power to keep this COVID-19 virus out of our home.  Because we receive tax monies, we did not qualify to secure a SBA PPP loan to help cover expenses for this Pandemic.  

The same reasons exist for why the Board of Directors are asking the citizens for this increase, but now there are many more, so please support this home.
