NECAC Re-opens Offices To Public

May 14, 2020

The not-for-profit North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC) has re-opened its Lewis County Service Center to clients and the public.

Though the facility remained open for work by staff, doors were locked to cut down on foot traffic in late March due to concerns about the coronavirus and as part of Missouri Gov. Mike Parson’s stay-at-home order. NECAC is an essential services provider.

Face-to-face contact will still be limited to appointments that require it and other social distancing protocols will still be observed. Most clients’ needs can be handled by telephone or computer.

“We want to reassure the people we serve that we will do everything we can to maintain a healthy climate while meeting their needs,” said NECAC County Services Programs Director Linda Fritz. “With the current COVID-19 pandemic, we want the public to know that we’re still here to serve their needs with our vital social services, housing development and community health programs.”

The NECAC Lewis County Service is at 408 S. Fourth in Canton. For more information, call 573-288-3969.
