WILLIAM (BILL) CLIFFORD FERGUSON

William (Bill) Clifford Ferguson, 63, of Washington, Iowa, formerly of Ewing, Mo., died November 18, 2015 at his home in Washington.

He was born March 5, 1952 in La Belle, Mo., a son of Kenneth C. and Mary Madeline Fields Ferguson. He married Marilyn McCarty in 1975 and to this union one son Kenneth Ferguson Jr. was born on December 8, 1975.

He moved to Ewing in 1956 with his family and attended Ewing Elementary School graduating from Highland High School in 1971. Bill moved to Iowa in 1977 and was an entrepreneur of a successful horse training business. For the last 15 years Bill worked for Eichelberger Farms in Washington, Iowa.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth Ferguson Jr., of Ewing, Mo.; one step son Travis West of Iowa; three sisters, Karen Wallace and husband Jim of Holden, Mo., Elaine Annese of Sherman Ct. and Sandra Schondelmeyer and husband Bruce of OFallon, Mo.; one brother, Dennis Ferguson of Quincy, Ill..; one granddaughter, Ciera Madeline Ferguson of Canton, Mo., and several nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held November 23, 2015 at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing with Rev. Elmer Hagood officiating. Pallbearers: Stan Kelly, Dave Ferguson, Mike Hall, Mike Vradenburg and Curtis Hunziker. Music was recorded selections.

Burial was in Liberty Cemetery near Williamstown, Mo.

The family suggests memorials be made to Kenneth Ferguson Jr. for a memorial to be established at a later date.
