ELAINE WHITE

Elaine White, 84, died peacefully in her home Feb 8, 2019 surrounded by her family.
She was born October 23, 1935 in LaGrange Mo., to Wilber and Janet Bronestine Smith. She married John Lee White, November 7, 1953. He preceded her in death in 2005.
Elaine was born and lived her entire life in LaGrange Mo. She graduated from LaGrange High School in 1953. In addition to helping her mother in her flower shop, Elaine worked various jobs including Electric Wheel and Bergner’s Dept Store in Quincy. Elaine loved working in her yard and tending her flowers. Her yard was always a show place in LaGrange.

Elaine is survived by two daughters, Annetta (Eugene) Austin of Enterprise AL and Tamia (Reuben) Miller of Chatsworth GA, and a son Rodney Kent (Paula) White of Canton MO; one sister, Charlene Kreeger of Leesburg FL; five grandchildren, Melissa Jurisch, Derrick Guilfoyle, Shane White, Rebecca Miller, and David Hansberger; and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John White; her oldest son, Dennis White; her son-in-law, Reuben Miller, and her parents, Wilber and Janet Smith.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in La Grange, MO with Rev. Paul Miliken officiating. Music: The Old Rugged Cross and I‘ll Fly Away. Pallbearers: Derrick Guilfoyle, Pat Ryan, Tyler Hansberger, Tanner Hansberger, Chance Shrader and Brady Schrader. Honorary Pallbearers will be her caregivers: Cindy Kitch, Robin Arch, Ginger Kitch and Barbara McDowell

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation from 1:00 p.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in East Midway Cemetery near La Grange.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LaGrange Youth Center.
