A note about the bridge closing on Orange Street in Lewis County. This bridge, as I understand, is approximately 100 years old and has served the local community well all these years. And is yet badly needed by not just a few people, but I understand excuses are made of being too costly. What’s wrong? If our forefathers could build a bridge to last us all these years and yet with all of the modern equipment of today, we can’t do as much as repair the bridge so at least light weight vehicles could cross over?

It seems most any project that people want, money can be found for it, why not for this much needed bridge?
