VIRGIL BRONSTINE

Virgil Bronstine, 96 of Canton, Missouri, died November 28, 2019 at the Lewis County Nursing Home at Canton.

The son of William Alfred and Sally Deatrick Bronstine was born on October 7, 1923 in rural Lewis County, Missouri.

He was united in marriage to Willa M. Lipper on September 23, 1951 at Kahoka, Missouri. She preceded him in death on July 13, 2017.

Virgil was hard working mechanic. He had worked for Tri-State Fertilizer, Thompson Implement and The Ice Plant. He liked to spend time with his family and go fishing.

He is survived by two sons, Rickey (Chris) Bronstine of Hull, Il. and Douglas (Connie) Bronstine of Canton, Mo.; a daughter, Sandra (Gary) Powers of Canton, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Mark (Barbie) Bronstine of Hull, Il., Adam Barrington of Hannibal, Mo., Misty (Ed) Jensen of Hull, Il., Tamara Powers of Canton, Mo., Wendy (Matt) Swearingen of Canton, Mo., Michael (Faith) Bronstine of Farmington, Mo. and Shawn Bronstine of Canton, Mo.; four great-grandchildren, Gauge Ackridge, Jocelyn (Liani) Ashdauer, Derek Powers and Chase Bronstine; a great-great-granddaughter, Lily Ackridge; two sister-in-laws, Jackie Bronstine and Carol Lipper; and several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers, Vincel and Bobbie Bronstine.

Private graveside services will be held in the Forest Grove Cemetery at Canton, Missouri with Rev. Brian Stone officiating.
