Canton R-V

As the month of November comes to an end, we would like to reflect on several things that our District is thankful for. We are thankful for our students. We are blessed to have students who come to us each day with open minds, ready to learn new things. We are thankful for our administration, faculty, and staff members. These individuals continue to provide our students with a high quality education, while continuing to grow as professional educators. We are thankful for our community. The support that our communities of Canton and Williamstown show that our District is extraordinary. From the overwhelming support last April during the bond issue to the community backing as the Lady Tigers advanced to the State Championship, our communities are always there to provide motivation and assistance for our students.

As we look back over the first part of the 2019-2020 school year, there are a lot of positive things happening at Canton R-V. We have completed a majority of the projects that were outlined in the Proposition K.I.D.S. referendum. We are currently in the planning phase to begin implementing a technology improvement plan to allow our students more access to up-to-date and appropriate technology. Our student results on state-wide assessments from last spring show that our school is near or above the state average in several subject areas. Our teachers and administrators are continuously looking for areas to improve upon. Financially, our District is employing conservative strategies to make sure that we remain financially stable for several years to come, while making sure that our students have the best possible opportunities.

Finally, we would like to wish everyone in our community a wonderful holiday season. We hope that you are able to spend quality time with your friends and family during this busy time of year. If you are ever looking for something to do, there is nearly a full calendar of activities and events from now until the end of the semester and we would love to see you at Canton R-V.
