Donald Martin Howe, 82 of Hannibal, Missouri died November 2, 2019 surrounded by his family at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

The son of Samuel and Hattie Orton Howe was born on March 31, 1937 at LaHarpe, Illinois. He was united in marriage to Gloria Woutzke on May 16, 1959 at Hamilton, Illinois.

Don attended the Wayland Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force and had worked at the Quincy Herald Whig. He enjoyed playing the guitar, target shooting, fishing and watching old western movies. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and best friend.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Howe of Hannibal, Mo.; five children, Donna Howe and David Schmidt of Maywood, Mo., Ron (Kim) Howe of Bowling Green, Ky., Don (Trella) Howe of Canton, Mo., Lisa Taft and Mike Garner of Quincy, Il. and Beth (Jerry) Wilson of Amarillo, Tx.; daughter-in-law, Mary Howe of Quincy, Il.; twenty-two grandchildren, Amanda Martin, Andy Howe, Amber Howe, Anthony Howe, Aric Howe, Alex Howe, Adrian Howe, Aaron Howe, Austin Howe, Abbie Howe, Sarah Taylor Job, Crissy Griesbaum, Laura Forbes, Tera Keener, Ronny Howe, Nicholas Howe, Alanna Moreland, Chad White, Tiffany White, Alissa Lowe, Bryan Baker and Kristi Jo Baker; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly (Daniel) Boone of Hamilton, Il.; sister-in-law, Mary Sue Howe of Fairfield, Ia.; brother-in-law, Harry McGee of Hamilton, Il.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Martin Howe, son-in-law, Paul Stewart, two sisters, Marie Massey and Rosalie McGee and a brother, Truman Howe.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 2 p.m.at Arnold?s Funeral Home in Canton, Missouri with Rev. Jerad Massey officiating. Visitation will be held from noon until time of services. Pallbearers: David Schmidt and grandsons, Nicholas Howe, Bryan Baker, Chad White, Andy Howe and Adrian Howe. Honorary Pallbearers: Dean Robison and Milford Woutzke.

Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery at Canton with Military Honors by Otto Bruner Post 170.
