ANNA LUCILE DANKER

Anna Lucile Danker, 99, of Kahoka, Mo., died November 7, 2015 at the Clark County Nursing Home in Kahoka. She was born April 6, 1916 in Clark County, Mo., the daughter of Martin and Anna Charlotte Zerull Danker.

After graduating from Quincy College she taught in area rural schools/. She then was a superintendent at the St. Patrick School for a year. Lucile then taught mathematics at Quincy College before her retirement.

Lucile was a lifelong faithful member of the Shrine of St. Patrick which was a vital part of her life. She was also a charter member of the Daughters of Isabella. She also had a strong devotion to the Sacred Heart. She was a gardener with a green thumb and grew beautiful flowers. Her passion was music, she enjoyed playing the organ and piano at the Shrine of St. Patrick for services. She was also a talented violinist. Most of all she truly had a servants heart and served Christ by serving others.

She is survived by her sister in law, Marie Danker of Quincy, IL and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, nine brothers, Joe, August, Francis, Fred, Paul and Robert Danker and triplets brothers in infancy and one sister, Catherine Dombrowski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Nov. 14, 2015 at the Shrine of St. Patrick.

Visitation will be held after 1 p.m. Nov. 13 with the family meeting with friends from 6 8 p.m. at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka. A rosary will be recited with a prayer service following at 7:30 p.m.

Burial will be in the St. Patrick Cemetery.
