RICHARD E. KAYLOR

Richard E. Kaylor, 62, of La Grange, Mo., died September 12, 2019 at his home in La Grange.

He was born on October 20, 1956 at his home in La Grange, MO a son of Ernest and Betty Hilbert Kaylor. He was united in marriage to Sheila Powers on December 1, 1978. She survives. Unto this marriage were born two sons, James Edward and Timothy Russell Kaylor.

Richard graduated from Highland High School in 1975. He was employed by Bob Richter Farms for 45 years. He was an avid bowler for several years and bowled in many leagues around the area. But what he enjoyed most was farming and spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.

Survivors include his wife Sheila; two sons, James (Tracy) Kaylor of Canton, MO and Timothy (Jamie) Kaylor of Ewing, MO; five grandsons, Benjamin, Gabriel of Canton and Blake, Carson and Bentley Kaylor all of Ewing, MO; four sisters, Sandra (Craig) Todd of La Grange, MO, Sharon (Keith) Cary of Lewistown, MO, Shirley Kaylor and Rod Clausen of La Grange, MO, and Diann (Donnie Stahl) Kaylor and of La Grange, MO; eight brothers, Gary (Dema) Hilbert of Salt Lake City, Utah, Ernest (Judy) Kaylor of Hannibal, MO, Kenneth (Linda) Kaylor of New London, MO, MO, David Kaylor and Bobby Kaylor of La Grange, Steve (Shirley Green) Kaylor of La Grange, Rusty Kaylor of La Grange, and Ronald Glenn (Tracy) Kaylor also of La Grange, MO, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father in law Leslie Powers Sr. , brothers in law, Bobby Powers and Leslie Winnie Powers.

Graveside services and burial were held September 17, 2019 at Marks Cemetery in La Grange with Pastor Jacob Hercamp officiating. Pallbearers: Brock McReynolds, Dustin McReynolds, Tyler Cary, Wayne Powers, Ronnie Powers and Jason Kaylor Honorary Pallbearers: James Kaylor, Timothy Kaylor, Benjamin Kaylor, Gabriel Kaylor, Blake Kaylor, Carson Kaylor, Bentley Kaylor and Bob Richter. Music: Go Rest High On That Mountain and Far Side Banks of Jordan

The family suggest memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to the family.
