VERONICA MAE PRYOR

Veronica "Ronnie" Mae Pryor, 45, of Augusta, Ill., died July 31, 2019 at Blessing Hospital, Quincy, Ill. 

Ronnie was born October 12, 1973 in Chicago, Illinois, to Howard Ezra Stratton and ZonnaLeeola Watkins.

She was a homemaker and had been an in-home caregiver giving personal assistance to her son in-law. She was married to James Curtis Pittman and later to Rocky Edward Pryor.

Ronnie enjoyed doing hair and nails, listening to music and being the life of the party and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed celebrations of all types and her dogs, Jezebel and Faye. She was a member of Life Tabernacle in Canton, MO and had hosted Bible studies with Reverend Paul Kinney at her home in Augusta.

Survivors include sons, Stevie Howard Pittman, Plymouth, IL; Robert Allen Pittman (Brandi), West Point, IL; Jacob Eugene Pittman (Faye Barry), Kahoka, MO; Rocky Odale Pryor,West Point, IL; daughters, Rebecca Lee Turpin (Michael), Plymouth, IL; and Janelle Leeann Pryor, Augusta, IL; father, Howard Ezra Stratton, West Point, IL; three brothers, Elbert ‘Blue’ McGowan (Kristine), Dallas, TX; Maynard Douglas Stratton (Stephanie), Pearl, MS and Dallas Gene Chapin, Disco, IL; sisters, Rebecca Sue Pittman (Paul), Canton, MO; Dessie Pearl Putnam, Bowen, IL; Leslie Ann Chapin, Hamilton, IL and Cindy Lynn Hardy (Kevin), West Point, IL; six grandsons,;six granddaughters, friends, Janelle Miller and Kathie Wilson, stepfather Les Chapin of West Point, IL.

She was preceded in death by her mother, brother, Howard Ezra Stratton Jr. and aunts.

Funeral services were held August 4, 2019 at Life Tabernacle in Canton with Reverend Paul Kinney officiating.
