BRADLEY CURLESS

Bradley Dean Curless, 60, of Palmyra, Mo., died May 10, 2019 in his home. 

He was born April 19, 1959, in Hannibal to Clifford M and Lola M Garner Curless.

He married Debbie Beasley on Oct. 6, 2017 at Mission Hill Baptist Church in Palmyra, MO, she survives.

Other survivors include children, Cora Kendrick (Chris), Shelbina; Sara Cowden (Ben) of O'Fallon, MO, Jacob Curless (Dixie) of Omaha, NE; Step children, Amber Gottman (Jeff) of Palmyra, MO, and Brandon Beasley (Faith) of Ewing, MO; Brothers, Darrell Curless (Sally) of Williamsburg, MO, Steve Curless of St. Helena, SC; Sister, Donna Hetheriton of Palmyra, MO; Nine Grandchildren, Phoebe, Gwendolyn, Taylor, Scarlet, Kolt, Gabbie, Grayson, Brayden, and Allison.

Bradley was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Elijah Guy Curless.

Bradley graduated from Monroe City High School and then attended the Police Academy for Law Enforcement. 

He served in the United States Marine Corps for several years before becoming a deputy for Jefferson County. He then became the Chief of Police for LaGrange, MO for many years. He later worked for Manchester Tank in Quincy, IL. Most recently he opened a gunsmithing shop out of his home called 12th Star Armory.

Bradley was a member of Mission Hill Baptist Church in Palmyra, MO

Funeral services were held May 15, 2019 at Mission Hill Baptist Church in Palmyra, MO. Pastor Kent Lewis officiated. Pallbearers: Justin Curless, Chris Kendrick, Ben Cowden, Jacob Curless, Nick Curless and Matt Hetheriton Honorary Pallbearers: Bob Bunfill and Jeff Blackford.

Burial with full military rites by Boots-Dickson Post 174 was at Mission Hill Memorial Garden in Palmyra, MO. Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
