RICHMAN DOHMAN

Richard George Dohman, 88, of Columbia, Mo., formerly of LaBelle, Mo., died October 9, 2015, at his home in Columbia, Mo.

Richard was born in Saunemin, Ill., on December 23, 1926, the son of Frank Herman and Anna Wilomena Drenkelfuss Dohman.

Richard attended school in a one room school near Charlotte, Ill. He moved to Chatsworth, Ill. as an infant and grew up in the Chatsworth and Charlotte area. Mr. Dohman became a farmer and paint contractor in that area until 1974, when he moved to LaBelle, Mo., where he was also a farmer and paint contractor. Mr. Dohman retired from farming in 1995.

He was united in marriage to Patricia Anne Lumley in 1985.

Surviving are his wife Patricia Dohman of Columbia, Mo., three children, Teresa Gronewald of Camp Point, Ill., Frank (Jackie) Dohman of Canton, Mo., and Lisa Nelson of Morris, Ill., two step daughters, Sheila Lumley and Robin Lumley both of Columbia, Mo., two sisters Mary Lou Teel of Chatsworth, Ill.. and Anne Deany of Danforth, Ill., seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Francis, William, George and Gary Dohamn, one sister Elizabeth and a granddaughter Chondra Dohman.

Mr. Dohman served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Graveside services were held October 13, 2015, in the LaBelle Cemetery. Father Angelus Minj will officiate the services.

The Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
