BARBARA LEWIS

Barbara Jean Lewis, 66 of LaBelle, Mo., died March 1, 2019, in Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. She was born March 19, 1952, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of William C. and Lillian May Herron Knoles. She was united in marriage to Darvin Dinzil Lewis, Jr. on May 11, 1968, at Las Vegas, NV.

Surviving are her husband Darvin Dinzil Lewis, Jr. four children, Donald Allen (Roxann) Lewis of Canton, MO, John D. William Lewis of LaBelle, MO, Pennie LeAnn (Steve) Chatfield of LaBelle, MO, and Daniel Joseph (Wendy) Lewis of LaBelle, MO, twelve grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Clark Chrisman and one sister Betty Jean Daniels.

Barbara was born in Kansas City and raised in California where she received her education. After their marriage in 1979 Barbara and Darvin moved to LaBelle, Mo. Barbara was a housewife and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, carpentry and woodworking, sewing and reading her bible.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO. Reverend Holland T. Lewis will officiate the services. Musical selections : Lead Me Home and Old Rugged Cross. Casket bearers will be Jacob Lewis, Matthew Chatfield, Douglas Chatfield, Isaac Lewis, Justin Moore and Derick Smith. Visitation will be held two hours prior to services on Saturday, March 9, 2019 in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO

Burial will be in the LaBelle Cemetery.
