JULIET TJADEN

Mrs. Juliet Tjaden, 77, of Leavenworth, Kanas, died January 16, 2019 in Leavenworth and was interred with her husband in Leavenworth National Cemetery on Jan. 28.

She was born on September 14, 1941, in Cottonport, La., to Filtz Joseph and Mabel Mary Ducote LaBorde. Juliet was married to Richard Duane Tjaden on Feb. 16, 1965 in Cottonport. To this union two children were born, Melissa Ann and Duane Joseph.

Mrs. Tjaden was a typical army wife until her husband retired. She later worked at Hallmark Company in Kansas City.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Willie) Laugh, two sisters-in-laws, Mrs. Ida Byers of LaBelle, Mo., and Mrs. Alberta (Jim) Lindsey of Batavia, Ohio, and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Juliet was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, her husband and son.
