MINNIE ELIZABETH WILKINS

Minnie Elizabeth Wilkins, 87 of LaBelle, Mo., formerly of Novelty, Mo., died January 21, 2019, in the LaBelle Manor Care Center in LaBelle, Mo.

She was born March 18, 1931, in Quincy, IL the daughter of James Henry and Georgia Minnie Hamerstrum Brumbaugh. She was united in marriage to James Samuel Wilkins on September 5, 1953, in LaBelle, MO and he preceded her in death on September 5, 2005. Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are three sons, Rodney Wilkins of Sharpsburg, GA, Roger Wilkins of Knox City, MO, and Jon (Shannon) Wilkins of Carrollton, GA, two brothers Larry Brumbaugh of Quincy, IL, and Henry Eugene Brumbaugh of Philadelphia, PA, five grandchildren, Jennifer (Jacob) Goss, Rhonda (Mike) Rubio, Jonathan Wilkens, Julia Wilkins and Christopher Wilkens, three great grandchildren, Noah and Carter Goss and Mia Rubio and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Elizabeth received her education in Illinois. She was a housewife and homemaker. She and her husband were engaged in farming west of Novelty for several years. She had lived for a time at Knox City, MO and for the last 18 years has resided at the LaBelle Manor. In her earlier years she was active in the School PTA. She loved Church and taking care of the sick. Her mission in life was to serve and share the word of Jesus Christ to everyone she knew.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Officiating the services will be Jon Wilkins. The Eulogy will be provided by Marie Rash. Music will be provided by Paul and Marsha Burton singing How Great Thou Art.

Casket bearers will be Ethan Pinson, Larry Wayne Brumbaugh, Greg Brumbaugh, Wayne Ray, Larry Primm and Von Snow. Visitation will be held Friday, January 25, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
