LESTER CARY

Lester E. Cary, 82 of LaBelle, Missouri died November 23, 2018 at Hannibal Regional Hospital.

The son of Henry and Gertie Brumbaugh Cary was born on December 5, 1935 in rural Lewistown, Missouri.

Lester was a member of Community Baptist Church in Emden, Missouri and he served in the U.S. Army. He worked for the Rural Electric Association as a lineman for 37 years, retiring in 1998.  He liked to hunt, fish and spend time with his great grandkids.

He is survived by two sons, Keith (Sharon) Cary of Lewistown, Mo. and Eric (Harriet) Cary of Lewistown, Mo. three grandchildren, Tyler (Jessica) Cary of La Grange, Mo., Danny (Shannon) Cary of Quincy, Il. and Jessie Cary (Andrew Sloan) of Lewistown, Mo.; five great-grandchildren, Layken, Bailee, Tayden, Emmett and Maverick; a brother, Eugene Cary of Lewistown, Mo. and a niece Lou Ann (Larry) Barnes of Lewistown, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Ellen Cary, sister, Marie (Delmar) Scoggin and a sister-in-law, Sue Cary.

A Celebration of Life will be held graveside, Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Lewistown Cemetery in Lewistown, Missouri. Details will be announced at a later date.
