ELIJAH CADE SLY

Elijah Cade Sly, five year old son of Matthew and Samantha Sly of rural Ewing, Mo., died November 16, 2018 at Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

He was born October 31, 2013 in Quincy, IL.

Elijah was a strong and courageous little boy who fought and brought hope to the Anencephaly community. He was known to everyone as a little warrior. He was loved and cherished by everyone, bringing smiles and love to all.

Survivors include his parents of Ewing; three brothers, Dyllon (Jessica) Howard of

La Belle, MO, Laine Sly of Quincy, IL and Dominic Sly of Ewing; two sisters, Justice Sly of LasVegas, NV and Serenity Sly of Ewing; grandparents, Delbert and Connie Kramer of Franklin, IA and Pamela Sly of LaBelle; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather John R. Sly.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 23, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Hester Community Church, rural Maywood, MO with Pastor Lance Bonnell officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 12:00 p.m. until time of services in the church. Pallbearers will be: Dyllon Howard, Laine Sly, David Mitchell and John H. Sly

Burial will be in Little Mountain Cemetery, Monticello, MO.

The family suggests memorials be made to Lisa Borders Anencephaly Hope.
