JANICE COLLEEN PARRISH

Our beautiful Janice Colleen Parrish passed away on November, 12, 2018 at the age of 64 in Palmview, TX where she was enjoying retirement on vacation. She was born on March 18, 1954 in Kirksville, Mo. She attended Knox County High School and was a 1972 graduate. She married the love of her life, John Kermit Parrish on November 6, 1971 and they lived the majority of their life together in Harrah, Oklahoma.

Janice was a teacher for Little Axe Public Schools for two years and a teacher and school counselor for the Choctaw-Nicoma Park School District for twenty-nine years. She loved her job as a counselor and her students loved her. Entertaining friends at her home, wearing her high heels and dressing up, listening to Aerosmith, and traveling across the country with John were a few of her pleasures. Janice always had a smile, a kind word, or a gesture for others and she will be forever missed.

Janice is survived by her mother and father, Victor Eugene and Betty Mae Peterson of Hurdland; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Joyce Peterson of Greentop; spouse, John K. Parrish of Harrah, OK; Brother-in law and wife, David and Charlotte Parrish of Lewistown; daughter and son-in law, Shelly and Chad Campbell of Edmond, OK and their children Quinn and Cory; daughter and son-in law, Lisa and Nathan Kiner of Milford, NH and their children Saffron and Jonathan.
