EILEEN M. (WOLF) MARKS

Mrs. Eileen M. (Wolf) Marks, 94, of Canton, Mo., died September 16, 2015 in the Lewis County Nursing Home at Canton.

Eileen was born August 6, 1921 in Canton a daughter of George and Catherine Wheeler Wolf. She married Rupert Elmer Moore in Palmyra, Mo., in 1940. He died February 1955. She later married Alden N. Jack Marks on October 17, 1963 in Marion, Ind. He died January 28, 2003.

Eileen attended the Canton Christian Church in earlier years. She loved to acknowledge others with cards at their birthday, anniversaries and on special occasions and often included a $2.00 bill with her well wishes. She also enjoyed visiting with family and friends and being very social. Eileen was a pet lover and was known for raising many types of birds and other animals on their farm. She also enjoyed a good game of Parcheesi especially with her sister Dorothy.

Survivors include two sons, Elmer Moore of Canton and Edward (Jeanine) Moore of Milan, IL; two daughters, Betty Ann Patty Childress of Taylor, MO and Sharon Marks and her husband (Rick Hinton) of Canton; one step daughter, Mary (Max) Hurlocker of White Bear Lake, MN; grandsons, Jeff Childress and Mike Childress both of Quincy, IL, Brad Moore of Austin, TX, Clayton Hinton and Tyler Hinton both of Canton and Lester McCray of Gray, GA; granddaughters, Gale Herrington of Vine Grove, KY, Jacqueline Childress of Palmyra, Amy Osborne of Jackson, MI and Tiffany Black of Stafford, VA; 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, daughter, Alaina Marie Moore in infancy; two brothers, Clarence George Pete Wolf and Fred William (Buddy) Wolf; four sisters, Virginia L. Wolf, Dorothy Eagleson McKibbin, Freda M. Jacobs, a sister in infancy Hannah Maxine Wolf; step daughters, Betty Lee McCray, Ruby Lucille Moore and a step son, James Elmer Moore.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in Canton with Pastor Dwight Snead officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, September 25, 2015 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in Canton. Pallbearers will be: Jeff Childress, Mike Childress, Clayton Hinton, Tyler Hinton, Lester McCray and Gale Herrington. Honorary Pallbearer: Don McDaniel. Music: Rock of Ages and Amazing Grace.

Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery in Canton.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Food for Thought Go Bags or to the Food Pantry of the Canton Council of Churches in care of Davis Funeral Home, Canton, Mo.
