NATHANIEL JOSEPH WAGNER & SHIRLEY WAGNER

Nathaniel Joseph Wagner, Jr passed away on September 12, 2018. He was born on March 22,1924 in Canton Mo. He was the fifth of six children born to Nathaniel Joseph Wagner, Sr and Catherine Lavinia Wagner. While on leave, he married his childhood sweetheart Shirley Anne. He worked for his father at Wagner Trucking and later he and his brother Howard bought the company from their father. In the summer of 1955 they moved to Kansas City. He joined the masons as a young man and was a 32nd degree and later a Shriner. Before he lost his eye sight he drove children to the Shriner hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

He is survived by his daughter Susan Airey, his son, Mark Wagner (Dottie), three grandchildren, Nathaniel Wagner(Elizabeth), Brandon Airey, and Christine Airey and three great grandchildren, Cayden Williams, Wyatt Wagner, and Crosby Wagner, and his brother Howard Wagner (Norma).

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife. Shirley of 72 years, who died November 10, 2016; four sisters, and his granddaughter Katie Hannah Wagner.
The family will be celebrating the lives of both Shirley and Joe on November 10 at 10:00 AM at North Cross United Methodist Church, 1321 NE Vivian Rd, Kansas City, Mo 64118.
