HAZEL BAKER

Mrs. Hazel P. Baker 86 of rural Lewistown, Missouri died September 20, 2018 at the Country Aire Retirement Estates at Lewistown.

The daughter of Robert and Cora Mae Rose Stroud was born on November 5, 1931 at East Prairie, Missouri.

She was united in marriage to Herbert H. Baker on December 28, 1946 at Charleston, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 2, 2014.

Hazel was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lewistown. She liked to shop and go to garage sales and she loved to spoil her granddaughters.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas (Loretta) Baker and David Baker, both of Lewistown, Mo.; three granddaughters, Ellen Gibson of St. Louis, Mo., Teresa Gray of St. Louis, Mo. and Pamela Allen of Mexico, Mo.; twelve great-grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren; a brother, James Stroud of St. James, Mo.; and four nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services were held September 22, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Lewistown, Missouri with Rev. Ted Middleton officiating. Visitation was held Sept.21, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Lewistown. Pallbearers: Rob Gray, Andrew Wedaphol, Robert Smothers, Harold Gibson, Tracy Allen and Sam Hughes.

Burial was in the Lewistown Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Lewistown.

Arrangements are with Arnold’s Funeral Home in Lewistown.
