MAXINE MCDERMOTT

Maxine McDermott, 87 of Canton, Missouri died September 11, 2018 in rural Canton.

The daughter of Francis Eugene and Mary Catherine Baum McDermott was born on October 26, 1930 in Clark County, Missouri.

Maxine was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Canton. She liked tending to her flower beds, garden, and livestock.

She is survived by a brother, Charles McDermott of Oglesby, Il.; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Catherine Washburn, Pauline Doyle and Alma Langwell; four brothers, Paul, Roy, John and Francis McDermott; three nieces, Verdna Gerstal, Paula Lang and Betty Jane “Sissy” Godman; three nephews, Larry Wayne McDermott, Carl Junior Washburn and John Washburn.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held September 15, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Canton, Missouri with Father Rob Fields officiating. Pallbearers: Justin McDermott, Greg McDermott, Ross Langwell, Aric Howe, Austin Howe and Aaron Howe. Honorary Pallbearers: Bruce McDermott, David Talbott, Elmer Doyle, Jr. and Norris Hinton.

Burial was in Forest Grove Cemetery at Canton.
