GERALD LEE BARKLEY

Born June 1, 1943, in Montecello, MO.

Went home to be with God on July 21, 2018.

Graduated from Canton High School in Canton MO in 1961.

Served in the US Air Force as a Bomb Navigation System technician

from1961-1969 during the Vietnam War.

Graduated from West Texas A&M in 1973 with a degree in

Business Administration.

Worked as a Human Resource manager and/or director at several different companies for 39 years, including Texas Instruments, Grant Geophysical, Aramco and with his last position being Vice President of Human Resources with Trans Texas Gas.

After retirement he owned Barkley Properties, a real estate company,

and served on the Harris County Tax Appraisal Board.

He belonged to numerous business associations.

Throughout his lifetime he was a Sunday school teacher and active in many church and benevolent programs.

He was a member of the Champions Church of Christ at the time of his death.

Survivors include: Wife, Vicky Barkley; Daughters Karen Zermeno and husband, John; Cheryl King and husband, James; son, David Barkley; step daughters Danna Wallace and husband, Scott; Debbie Templin and husband,Kirk; Dawn Claunch and husband, Daniel; step-son David Trice and wife,Leigh Ann; sisters: Diana Warning and husband, Jim and Barbie Pearl: sister-in-law, Kathy Newman;19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Services were held in Texas July 24, 2018.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts my be made to Wounded Warriors or

Medina Children's Home.
