July 19, 2018

The La Belle Library hosted Quincy violinist Robin Walden who presented the program, "It's Strings” on July 11.Robin teaches the Suzuki method for violin and is a member of the Quincy Symphony Orchestra.

The audience, consisting of children of all ages and their parents, enjoyed learning about the stringed instrument family. A child-sized violin, a viola, and a cello were displayed and demonstrated. A highlight of the presentation was the delightful telling of the Little Red Riding Hood story, accompanied by Robin's excellent rendition of the whimsical piece, Humoresque, by Antonin Dvorak which she played on her own 200- year- old violin.

Zoey Simmons won the drawing for the door prize, and is pictured with Robin Walden.
