RONALD RUENGERT SR.

Ronald L. Ruengert, Sr., 74 of rural La Grange, Mo.,July 1, 2018 at the Clarence Care Center in Clarence, Missouri.

The son of Charles and Leona Crouch Ruengert was born on June 18, 1944 at St. Louis, Missouri.

He was united in marriage to Dacia Kay Van Natta on December 17, 1978 at Branson, Missouri.

Ron served in the U. S. Army and the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He also completed S.E.A.R. (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape) training in March of 1969. He liked to work with sheet metal, ride horses, play video games and watch MSNBC. He was a loving husband and father and he played music and sang for many years in the Troy and St. Charles area.

He is survived by his wife Kay Ruengert of La Grange, Mo.; three children, Donna Lynn Patrick of Sparta, Mo., Ronald L. Ruengert, Jr. of Springfield, Mo. and Bobby Dean Ruengert of West Plains, Mo.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three step-brothers; a step-sister and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside Military Honors and inurnment will be held at a later date at the Keokuk National Cemetery, Keokuk, Iowa.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
