This photograph from 1972 shows children in the living room of Leoma Chipman's house in Durham. Leoma did babysitting in her home. She was a well respected, and liked person, and very good with children. There are many from the Durham and Ewing community who can say that Leoma was their baby sitter. Pictured from left to right: Glenn Chipman (Leoma's grandson), Lavonne Klocke, Johnny Goings, Mike Klocke, Billy Goings, Lori Bean, Melissa Bean, Sandy Cribb, and Sonny Klocke on the right. It is said that Leoma is the one who gave Sonny his nickname, which to this day, everyone still calls him. Photograph and comments provided by Glenn Chipman.
