Mrs. Mary Ann Daggs, 84, of Ewing, Mo., died February 16, 2018 at Good Samaritan Home in Quincy, Ill.

She was born November 2, 1933 in Quincy, Ill., a daughter of August and Dorothy Creech Biesterfeld. She married Dolan Victor Daggs on July 2, 1952 in Quincy. He passed away October 20, 2013.

Mary Ann enjoyed playing domino’s, mushroom hunting, fishing, working in her flower garden and traveling. She also liked getting together with her family, watching her grandchildren play sports and going to the Casino.

Survivors include her six children, Karen (Joe) Schroeder of Ewing, Sharon (Jim) Schlager of Canton, Jerry W. Daggs and friend Rayola Miller of Quincy, Debbie (Sandy) Daggs of Ursa, Ill., Doug (Joy) Daggs of Ewing and Lori Ann Adrian of Hannibal, Mo; grandchildren, Scott Evans of Ewing, Victor (Alisha) Schroeder of Lewistown, Brenda Schlager of Lewistown, Cathy (Travis) Lundberg of Ewing, Mo; Johnene (Larry) McDonald of Nashcourt, Ohio, Jason (Candy) Daggs of Ewing, Mo; Brittany (Bob) Hager of La Grange, Mo; Denton Daggs of Ewing, Mo; Christopher Chipman of Canton, Mo; Laci Daggs of Lewistown, Mo; Whitney (Brian) McCune of Palmyra, Mo;and Summer Adrian of Hannibal, Mo. Also numerous great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; sister’s in law, Betty Stark of Ewing, Darlene Biesterfeld of Lewistown and Phyllis Ulrich of Quincy; brother in law Walter Adams of Lewistown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Gregory Daggs, three grandsons, Johnny Lay, Patrick Schroeder and Dalton Daggs, great granddaughter, Ashton Schroeder, brothers, Bill, Bob and Ronnie Biesterfeld, sister Barbara Miller and son in law, Phil Adrian.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing, Mo., with Rev. Lance Bonnell officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing.

Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery near Ewing.

Pallbearers: Scott Evans, Jason Daggs, Chris Chipman, Victor Schroeder and Denton Daggs. Honorary Pallbearers: Travis Lundberg, Brian McCune and Bob Hagar, Music: “Unchained Melody”, “The Dance” and “Angel”.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hester Community Center or the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
