LARRY HUDNUT

Larry H. Hudnut, 75 of Canton, Missouri died January 22, 2018 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

The son of Gilvia Boyd and Norma Jane Thompkins Hudnut was born on January 25, 1942 at Williamstown, Missouri.

He was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Smith on May 20, 1962 at Monticello, Missouri.

Mr. Hudnut was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Canton. He was also a 50 year member of Monticello Craft Lodge 58 A.F. & A.M. Larry was a professional truck driver. He drove for over thirty years, traveling all the continental United States. He retired from Thompson Trucking in Quincy in 2005. In addition to being a lifelong Cardinal fan, Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, grandchildren and playing cards with family and friends. After retirement he worked part time for Pierce Trucking in Canton.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Hudnut of Canton, Mo.; a son, Larry Wayne (Sandra) Hudnut of Smithton, Il. and a daughter, Lori (David) Krumm of Hillsboro, Mo.; three grandchildren, Devon (Andrew) Eads, Derrick (Celeste) Hudnut and Mackenzie (John) Burgelin; four great-grandchildren, Colin Eads, Jack Eads, Sabastian Burgelin and Katherine Hudnut; a brother, Lynn (Betty) Hudnut of Canton, Mo. and a sister, Mary Nanette (John) Hudnut-Williams of Manchester, Mo.; father-in-law, Burrell Smith of Monticello, Mo.; brother-in-law, Bill (Barb) Smith of Monticello, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Hudnut.

Memorial funeral services were held January 27, 2018 at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Canton, Missouri with Rev. Harry Cooper officiating. Visitation and Masonic services were held Jan. 26.

Inurnment will be in the Monticello Cemetery at Monticello, Missouri.
