Walk-In Clinic Opens

The Blessing Health System Convenient Care Clinic in Canton, Missouri, is now open inside the County Market grocery store. The clinic offers medical care for minor illnesses and injuries.The clinic is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends. It is only closed on Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Lewistown Community Christmas Dinner

The fourth annual Lewistown Community Christmas Dinner will be held at the Lewistown Firehouse on Christmas day from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Those with little or no family to spend the holidays with are encouraged and invited to attend. The meal is provided at no cost and everyone is welcome.

The Lewistown Firehouse is located on Highway 6 across the street from Stanley’s Diner, between the pharmacy and the ambulance district office.

There is a volunteer who is willing to deliver meals to nearby places in Lewistown, LaBelle and Ewing. Those who want a meal delivered are asked to call and make arrangements in advance. Those that need a meal delivered to Lewistown, LaBelle or Ewing, are asked to leave a message beforehand at (573) 215-2636 or (660) 213-3777.

There is no need to RSVP if you are going to attend the meal. Volunteers are welcome to help and everyone is encouraged to attend to enjoy a good meal and fellowship.

Life Tabernacle Offerings Benefit Food Pantry

Life Tabernacle will host a Christmas Musical Sunday, December, 24 at 10 a.m. A Special Benefit Offering will be taken with all proceeds going to the Lewis County Food Pantry (Commodities) to help pay for utilities and building rental. Everyone is invited.

Anyone who is unable to attend, but would still like to donate to the Lewis County Food Pantry, may mail donations to: Life Tabernacle, 31460 State Hwy 16, Canton, MO 63435.

Candlelight Church Service

Everyone is invited to the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at the Canton Christian Church, 512 College Street, on Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. Service includes Carols, candlelight, communion and a retelling of the Christmas story. Everyone welcome.

Collector's Office Hours

The Lewis County Collector's Office will be closed Dec. 25 and open 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. on Dec. 26, 27 and 28. the office will be open 8 a.m. to noon and staying open later hours of 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 29. The office will be closed Dec. 30 and 31, but will accept postmarks of Dec. 30.

PNJ Holiday Hours

The Press-News Journal will close at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22 and Dec. 29 and be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The newspaper will have delivery as usual during the holidays.
