Candlelight Church Service

Everyone is invited to the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at the Canton Christian Church, 512 College Street, on Dec. 24 at 5 p.m. Service includes Carols, candlelight, communion and a retelling of the Christmas story. Everyone welcome.

Courthouse Hours

Lewis County Clerk's office regular hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, There are several positions for local elections where sign ups are located at the courthouse. The Courthouse will be closed on Christmas Day Dec. 25 and New Year's Day, Jan. 1.

Santa at LaGrange Library

All children are invited to the LaGrange Library for story time with Miss Meghan, cookies and a special visit from Santa on Thursday, December 21, from 2 to 3 p.m.

Blood Drive at Highland

A blood drive, sponsored by Highland High School FFA, will be held Dec. 14 from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Ag Room at HIghland High School, Ewing. Call 1-800- Red Cross (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org and enter: HighlandHS to schedule an appointment.

Lewistown Christmas Celebrations

We Modern's Club and Lewistown Viking Club will host the second annual Lewistown Park Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony December 16, 2017 at 5 p.m. The night will start off with the lighting of the Christmas tree and singing Christmas carols. The Lewistown Fire Department will be bringing Santa to the park on the fire truck at 5 p.m. Everyone invited to see Santa and enjoy hot cocoa and cookies.
